A short story as is common with this author. It starts with a bang and keeps the reader involved to the finish. However there is a sudden 8 year jump that is a bit disconcerting, leaving the reader left out of a lot of action. It does not detract from the story but I would love to know what happened. 5 out of 5 (Stark47 )

The author is back to her more earlier style and it works very well.
The plot is simple but the fate of Libby is well described and edgy.
The superfluous long flashbacks are absent and as a result it is
easier for the reader to be taken into the plot and carried along.

I have read several book by this author and they were good but
somewhat typical of this genre...it seems to me that he has departed
from his previous BDSM trope and produced an interesting and
significantly different erotic story..his use of time lines to
contrast changes in Libby's mental state is well done and very
compelling...and the ending is a great surprise...well worth the read

The author has gotten back to her some of her roots with this novel,
and I am very happy for that. No reviews of why the sadiat does what
he does. It's a solid story and worth the money. I'd still love to see
a return of some of her older characters (Stephani especially) to see

I have started using a "Text to Speech" App. and found that it greatly
improves the overall story quality.  Where I would normally give this
a 4 rating, with the App. it is much more enjoyable and portable.  5

Excellent book with a nice "Ten steps to hell" construction. Ellie experiments the "quicksand effect"...the more you wriggle the more you sink! Would have loved to see more F/f, the one who betrayed Ellie could have been involved hands on in the course of the second part of her training. Would have been great to witness her further humiliation in a sheikh's house and some latex slavery. Who would like to sample and taste the end? 5 out of 5 (Dressage10)

This series of 4 books is Argus near his best, black on white genre. The middle two books get a little repetative and could be just one volume but hey! I could have done without the lesbian episode, it is not my thing, but I suppose the pole dancing teacher had to be introduced somehow. Vol 4 has an amazing gang bang episode. I began to wonder how JJ could end the saga, but it came to a very satisfying conclusion 5 out of 5 (Sooty)

The best thing I can say is that this is so boring. The characters are but shadows of characters and none of them interesting. However Book 2 has an excellent synopsis of Book 1 and is worth reading. Skip Book 1. 1 out of 5 (Stark47)
