Jennifer was so happy to finally be away from her busy, demanding job
and arrive at this all-inclusive wild west ranch she had booked a vacation at, that
she literally couldn't stop smiling. Jennifer loved her job as a media
marketing specialist in Seattle, Washington, and she was definitely a Seattle
girl through and through, but she hadn't had time to get away for some much
needed fun and relaxation time in close to three years now. So, when one of her
co-workers showed her a website outlining a vacation package to a wild west
ranch located in New Mexico where she could ride horses, hike, prospect for
gold, mingle with the ranch owners and ranch hands by day and relax around
evening campfires by night, she jumped on it. Even though Jennifer thinks of
herself primarily as a 'city girl', she has always been fascinated by the
happenings and life of the wild, wild west. Jennifer had been anxiously looking
forward to her trip to the state of New Mexico ever since she booked the
vacation package, and she was even more excited about partaking in all the fun activities
she anticipated having at the ranch. And, now that her feet had actually
touched the tumbleweed covered grounds of the desert, Jennifer's spirit was
soaring, which was evident by the ear-to-ear grin she wore on her face.
As Jennifer's feet guided her through the sandy dirt amongst the many
barns, cabins, ghost town looking shops and corrals, she observed an equal mix of
both animals and guests, along with plenty of ranch hands running around to guide
and take care of them both. Ranch guest accommodations consisted of lovely rustic
little cabins situated in rows away from the ranch's main barn structure, and Jennifer
was quite thrilled with the décor and ambiance of her cabin. She was treated to
a patch quilt-covered queen size bed, as well as a small private bath with a
shower and tub, a kitchenette, and a sitting area adorned with two wooden
rocking chairs on either side of a small table with an oval braided rug
underneath. But, what she loved the most was the earthy stone fireplace
centered in the cabin wall directly across from the sitting area. A warm,
crackling fire on a late September evening would most certainly be cozy, not to
mention, very romantic.
