Big City Lover

"I don't waste energy with lying." Shea said this with a passion that shocked Lizzie to the core.

He immediately returned to his normal state of peaceful calm. "Tell me. Stay, or go?"

He took a step back, allowing her room to breathe, and without thinking Lizzie took a step forward. A look of mild surprise crossed his face, and Lizzie felt a small spark of pride she was able to ruffle him a little. Shea took a step forward. She stood still.

Another step forward, and Lizzie felt as though her heart was going to jump out of her chest.

Shea reached out a hand. His onyx painted nails skimmed the side of her face, and she turned to nuzzle into his palm. The words couldn't come out. It'd been months since she broke up with her boyfriend back home who used to poke fun at her for being a prude, and she hadn't been with anyone since, and now she didn't feel like a prude at all, just a woman who wanted two strong arms around her and a dick filling her emptiness.

Shea seemed to understand everything without her saying a word. He cupped her face and brushed her lips with his in a movement more like a whisper than a kiss, yet still took her breath away. Another kiss followed, teasing and feather-light, and another, until Lizzie couldn't stand it and stood on her tiptoes to deepen it.

Under her lips she could felt him smile, and a part of her was sad she couldn't see it.

Shea coaxed her tongue into his mouth, scraping it delicately with slightly sharp teeth that made Lizzie gasp. She finally gave in to the compulsion she'd felt all day to snatch the tie binding his hair, so it fell in a curtain of dark silk around their faces.

Digging her hands into it and dragging her nails against his scalp created a wonderful reaction: Shea growled, a baseline rumble Lizzie felt in her bones as he grabbed her waist and pulled their bodies together. Their kissing turned fierce.

Without realizing it, she'd tapped into something wonderful.

The End
