Make a good impression Marion warned herself and surreptitiously tugged the dress to reveal another inch of cleavage. She had a good body, and she would use it. Because the man that she was about to meet held their future security in his chubby hands. He has our house in his hands she reminded herself and tugged the dress again as she painted a wide smile on her ruby lips.
Keep looking she chuckled silently, his spectacles had small circular lenses, small but thick, they magnified his eyes almost comically, but the direction of his gaze couldn't be doubted, it was locked on her tits.
Tony reluctantly dragged his eyes away and smiled as he glanced at Graham. "So you want to join my department?"
Graham nodded... and held his breath.
"Very stiff competition." Tony nodded and returned his gaze to Marion's hard nipples, "Too close to call at this stage... not that I would say anything one way or the other," he chuckled before sipping his drink, "All I will say is... we will all know the result before Christmas... which means, next week, so not long to wait!"
Graham tried to convince himself that the short man had given him the smallest of winks, and he felt his hopes begin to rise.
"Can I ask you to run to the bar for me?" Tony levelled a steady eye, and smiled as Graham nodded eagerly, "And you should get your good lady here another drink, her glass is almost empty."
Here it comes, Marion watched her husband scuttle away, she wasn't sure what was coming... but she had felt a tension building. She had also noticed the wink, but understood that it hadn't been directed at Graham, it had been aimed squarely at her, and she held her breath as Tony waited until Graham was safely out of earshot.
"The decision has already been made," he announced casually, "The job has already been allocated." Tony shifted his gaze from her breasts and up to her eyes.
"There are others more qualified than Graham, some have been in the system for a long time, strictly they are due for this promotion."
Marion felt her heart begin to beat faster, she couldn't read the man... was he telling her that Graham had the position despite not being as well qualified... or was he building to something else?
"I will be frank with you my dear," he continued, "The choice has been made, and it isn't Graham!"
Marion's blood ran cold, she imagined her husband's disappointment, she pictured their home, packing crates, the bailiff arriving to evict them... to go where?
"But!" Tony cut through the silence that had suddenly descended. "I can overturn that decision... if I wish, the final say is mine, and mine alone."
"Will you?" Marion asked, trying to keep the stress from her voice.
Tony smiled and gave her a clear wink. "That depends entirely on you. We are both adults Marion, we both know how this world works. You do something good for me... I do something good for Graham! Understand?"
