They drank beer and talked about school until the dinner was ready, then they ate. After dinner, they returned to the sofas with more beer, laughing at the stories Derek told about some of the professors.



Then, abruptly, Derek changed the subject.



"I hope you don't mind me asking. I'm just curious, you understand. I've seen the look the girls get in their eyes when they talk about you and, well, I'm just dying to know."  He laid his hand on Kurt's thigh. "Would you indulge me and let me get a quick look at it? I promise I won't touch." He lifted both hands in the air.
