Then one night I got an idea. Since she studied Academy of Art here, and she had three more exams to pass, I saw that as an opportunity for her to come. I came up with the story that everyone who enrolled the university before 1997, and did not pass all exams, had to come personally and get a document about passed exams, since it was according to the new law, and there might be problems later if they did not do it. I mentioned that to Dave one day. I said I heard the story on TV. She bit the bait. A couple of days later I talked to them on the phone. I learned that Mary was coming to Boston in 15 days. She was coming alone, of course, since it was necessary to be done on a work day. She said she was going to stay at our home for a couple of days until she got the document. 

My plan had to be developed further. I drove my wife to her parents. I had planned it a long time ago. Of course, I did not mention that Mary was coming to visit us. I pretended I did not know anything about it.
