Erika felt her anger brewing in her like a wound that festered to the point of needing to be amputated. It was the third rejection, and she knew that her case was valid, and she should be heard. A simple lawsuit was all she knew was needed and to get her voice heard. No jury in the world would say no to her claim and the frustration of not having that jury to hear her side burned her more. Holding back the tears, she listened to how the lawyer didn't want to take the case saying that it was a conflict of interest, and it was a "he said she said" thing.

The band was not her idea and knew that she would excel at a solo career instead. The songs were hers and the inspiration to write those songs came from her heart and soul. It was her music, her dancing skills and a band offered her nothing. Her life was in her music and writing all of the songs for the band made it seem like the band was doing all of the work when she knew it was all her. It was the manager and the contract she knew that sunk her claims and ruined her shot at a music career.

The contract was bullshit and deep down the frustration she felt was hers for signing it. Her cousin Ke-ke told her not to sign and to wait until she spoke with the agents at her company. The signing bonus the agent offered paid for rent, the back car payments and the utility bills that were past due. Not reading the fine print and who was in control made her feel like a loser now. The rights to the songs were now the band's and the band being to 'Talent Management Professionals'.

La'esha was a nobody and now she was singing songs she didn't write and taking credit for writing them. Her heart and soul was now being sung by La'esha who now changed her name to "Sasha Heart." She could barely sing, but when the songs are perfect, even a talentless hack can make it big. Thinking back, Erika knew it was because La'esha fucked Mr. Feinburg after being told no by her. If she fucked him, this whole mess would not have happened and it would be her that was famous.

Years of singing lessons and keeping her body in top notch shape felt almost like a waste. She knew her ass was fine and that all the guys stared at it. Her tits were round and firm with dark chocolate nipples that got erect all the time and the tight tops made them almost visible too. Wearing tight leggings showcased her ass and she knew her body was enough to get promoters to recognize her.

Pulling up to her cousin's Ke-ke's house, she saw the company car in the driveway. It was a brand new Mercedes electric car that she knew cost a crazy amount of money. Her old Honda was still kicking and gave her no trouble, but it was not a state-of-the-art machine like what her cousin now drove. She was just a regular secretary and now she was a personal assistant to the owner's son Mr. Lawrence.

Walking in, she saw her cousin in the kitchen with the blender going. She was just ten years older than her and had a bunch of odd jobs before landing the job of her life. Ke-ke never cared about her weight or that she was never super model thin like she was. Her attitude and personality was what got her the promotion and now she hoped it would help her.

Shutting off the blender and pouring the contents into a big glass she turned to her. "Girl, I can't give you any. Your mom would kill me if she found out I let you drink."

"It's fine," Erika answered, still stewing about finding out that La'esha got a tour date not that she was only twenty and not being allowed to drink.

"You need to move on and let this go. I told you that this business is cut-throat, and you were gonna get fucked over."

Hugging her and giving her a kiss, she sat at the bar table near the blender. "I should have fucked him. I should have let him fuck me with his white dick. I would be on tour if I just said yes to him when he wanted to fuck me."

Her cousin then took another sip of her mixed concoction. "You did the right thing. He is a fucking pervert and will get his."

The anger came back to her instantaneously like it was on call anytime she wanted to get mad fast. "She is going on fucking tour with my music. No lawyer wants to talk with me. I can't get a single fucking person to help me. I wrote those songs and they're fucking mine."

"I told you to come by today and see what they said. I know my company handles cases like yours."

Erika thought back to an hour ago when her cousin's company said they didn't want to take on the case. "I tried. They didn't want it. I even dropped your name and nothing."

"Shit, I am sorry girl. Can you write more music? My boss signs new artists too."

Sulking more, she knew her cousin was right, but it still didn't feel right. "I can, but he gets me a lawyer."

"Suppose so. I mean I can't get you in to see him, but I can drop off a demo tape or tell him to listen to you on Spotify."

Posting music online was nice, but having to take it down when the contract was signed hurt. Now putting it back up because there was no contract couldn't happen since the songs belonged to them now. "Take me forever to make those songs again."

Taking another hearty swig, she sat down across from her. "You have to do it or move one. I know it's the shit, but you're young."
