Death by Passion
Detective Mark Lomax cruised the streets in a seedy part of town. He had the windows down in his unmarked police vehicle and the radio was on at a low volume. He wasn't really paying attention to the music that came through the speakers as he was way more intent on scoping the streets looking for a likely pick up.
He slowly approached a corner where he saw a group of scantily-clad women with thick make up chatting amongst themselves. Lomax ignored the group, figuring the one he was after was more of the loner type. At least that's what the police profiler had told him to look out for.
On the opposite side of the street he spied a blonde woman standing alone. She was smoking a cigarette and looked left and right up and down the road, waiting for some action. She wore knee-high boots, above which he saw fishnet stockings stretching up her thighs and disappearing under her shiny black mini skirt. Her red top was equally as mini as the skirt was and barely big enough to contain her large breasts. The woman noticed him cruising slowly along and she signalled with a nod of her head for him to pull over. Lomax, deciding she might be worth a try, hooked a U-turn and pulled up beside her.
She puffed on her smoke and poked her head through the window, exhaling a cloud of smog inside the cabin. Lomax coughed and waved the fog away so he could see her clearly.
The woman was young, perhaps very early twenties and with a very pretty face. She looked quite fresh in the game. Not all drawn, haggard and down-trodden as some of the more experienced hookers on the beat were. Her cleavage was exquisite and the detective made a point of having a good look at her tits as they dangled in the window.
"You lookin' for some lovin'?" the woman asked him.
"I might be. What's your name, darlin'?"
"Cassie." She eyed him suspiciously then. "You ain't no cop, are you?"
He smiled at that and maintained a casual and open demeanor. "Hell, no! I'm just a guy with needs looking for a happy ending."
Cassie grinned. "Well, you've come to the right part of town then. Three hundred and you get me for an hour."
"I probably don't need that long," he said.
