Jordan sighed and leaned back on his chair, his large frame causing the seat to creak. He was muscular, his button up shirt barely able to contain his broad shoulders, thick arms and wide chest. His dark, ebony skin glistened in the sunlight that peered through the large glass window, the blinds half open.
It always excited Peter a bit to see boss. If Jordan were gay, Peter would have pounced on him in the club. He sighed quietly as he had to remind himself that his big muscular black man was married to a young white blonde woman. Peter had met her at one of the office parties and was surprised by her looks.
"Oh for... I thought I already met with them?" He grunted angrily as he tapped his pen on the desk.
"Unfortunately, yes, you met with them two weeks ago or some sort of kick off meeting," Peter answered.
"And I'm guessing they can't reschedule?"
"Well, last time we tried, Jaina..."
Jordan sighed and rolled his eyes. "God, I remember that. She really laid into me for that. Go ahead and put it on my schedule then."
"So... That's why I'm here. I can't find any time on your calendar," Peter said.
"What? So you want me to look through and organize my calendar now?" Jordan questioned angrily as he clicked on his mouse. "Why even hire an assistant then," he grumbled.
Peter sucked in his lower lip and glanced down at the ground. He knew Jordan wasn't specifically mad at him, but his comments were starting to become unacceptable. He cleared his throat and looked at his boss.
"Jordan, that's a bit rude," he started, his voice a bit higher pitched and shaky.
"Excuse me?" Jordan responded as he stopped clicking and looked up at Peter, meeting him eye to eye.
A chill ran up Peter's spine as he stared at his boss. Jordan's brows furrowed as he leaned back against his chair and crossed his arms. Peter visibly trembled and cleared his throat again.
"Well, it's a bit rude, what you're saying. I tried but every meeting this week is important, there's literally nothing I can move without you getting angry," Peter responded, his voice still shaking.
He held back his tears and sniffled, trying his best not to show weakness. Jordan sighed, shook his head and looked down. He uncrossed his arms and waved Peter over.
"Close the blinds and come here," Jordan ordered.
Peter nodded, turning the blind so that the small window was closed off. He nervously walked over to the chair across from Jordan and sat down.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude," Jordan started as he looked up. "It's just been rough. So many demands, requests and life at home isn't exactly any better," he confided.
Peter tilted his head. "Oh no..." He whispered.
"Yeah, the thing is," Jordan started as he stood up and walked over towards his door. "I haven't been honest with my wife these past couple of years," he continued as he leaned against his door.
Peter's eyes widened as he turned and looked at his boss. "You're cheating?"
"Not exactly. I haven't been honest with myself for a much longer period," Jordan continued. "I mean, my wife and I... She's great. She's smart, she looks great, it's just..." He paused as he looked upward.
"But?"
"I've never been interested in women," Jordan blurted.
"What?!" Peter responded in shock. "Wait... Are you saying you're..."
"Yes, I'm gay. I've always known it, but I've always kept it hidden. I only got married with my wife because of the pressure I felt from my family," he informed.
"Oh wow... I know how that feels," Peter replied, having gone through a similar situation in his life. Luckily for him, he had not gone through with marriage. He instead decided to come out and leave his family behind.
"Yeah, so, it's been rough. And lately, with Jennifer wanting kids, I just can't. Like physically, I can't get it going," Jordan said.
"Unbelievable," Peter whispered to himself. The thought never crossed his mind that Jordan was gay.
"It's been a long time since I've had any sex. I guess that's another reason for this anger," Jordan informed.
"Wow, TMI," Peter laughed.
Jordan shook his head and laughed along. "Yeah, sorry. I guess that was TMI. The thing is... If I can be honest with you..." He paused as he stared at Peter.
"Of course!" Peter responded, his heart beating faster as he stared into Jordan's eyes.
"You are definitely the wrong person for me to lash out at. I... The thing is, I've always had a thing for you. Ever since you were assigned as my assistant, I felt something," Jordan continued.
"Me?!"
"Yes. When you walk by wearing those tight pants... I mean, even now, I am well..." He paused again as he looked down.
