New Taboo Smut

(Lexi Wood)

We walked toward one of the openings that looked out on Niagara Falls. You could feel the spray as you got closer to the railing. There were signs everywhere saying not to climb over. It was dangerous. You could get swept down into the falls.
I glanced at Burton, hoping he wasn't looking back at me, but he was. He was saying something, but I couldn't hear because of how loud the waterfall was. It filled your ears with noise and vibrations. That was the undeniable power of nature, the power I'd been running from since I was thirteen years old.
I could see Burton's nipples through his wet shirt, which was plastered to his chest just like my dress was plastered to me. He caught me looking. I could hardly breathe. The thundering falls made me dizzy or... not dizzy. Something else. Like a giant stomping on your lungs.
Why couldn't I stop feeling embarrassed and ashamed of myself? What was I even embarrassed about?
Wrapping my fists around the top of the railing, which only came up to my waist, I stared at the waterfall. I couldn't see through it. I could only see the white water falling, falling, falling, and hitting me with specks of itself. It's so weird how that water could move in sheets but also splash you with hard droplets that hit your face feeling like pieces of gravel. And at the same time, it was a mist that filled the air.
I climbed over the rail. Don't ask me why. Some force I didn't understand was pulling me over to the other side.
The safe side had concrete underfoot, but this side, beyond the rail, was rocky terrain. Slippery from the mist and the pebble drops and the sheet water falling hard enough to power part of the planet.
Burton was shouting my name: "Janie! What are you doing? Get back here!"
I didn't even turn around. I just kept moving closer to the waterfall, wondering what it would feel like to get pulled down, down, down...
