Beth struggled as she inserted the hoop earrings through her earlobes. She giggled at her reflection. "Easy girl, you'll do well," she said to her reflection and once the earring was in place, she stood back and examined her body. Her golden hair hung neatly styled to her shoulders in soft waves. The red business suit matched the red shoes, and she twisted making sure her body showed her as a professional. Downtown the traffic was heavy and Beth was thankful she'd called a cab to get her to her job at the investment firm on time. It was her first day as an intern as a payroll assistant. Not one person was left without a kind word from her as she found her office with the payroll manager, Stuart Rollins. He was a clean-cut man who only had an interest in doing his job. Photos of his wife and children were scattered all over the office and it let Beth know right away that the man didn't put up with senseless flirting.
