STORY DESCRIPTION

Casandra has arrived at the solicitor's office to hear what she has inherited from her ex-guardian, Thomas Gold. The obstreperous young woman had a difficult relationship with the global tycoon throughout the years she lived with him, on his vast estate in Hertfordshire.

Thomas wanted Cassie to get a good education and work for Gold Industries, but a family scandal put paid to that. When the guardianship ended on her 21st birthday, he gifted Cassandra a flat in Chelsea and an income which enabled her to live comfortably in the heart of London.

Cassandra is about to discover that Thomas put a clause in his will that would provide her with a choice. Either keep the flat and walk away from the family, or accept his challenge, to work for 2 years in the employ of one of his companies, in Japan, where she would be trained in a special discipline technique.

If she lasted, then the company, 'Global Advanced Materials Inc', (GAMI) would become hers. The company in question manufactures an advanced breathable latex rubber that can be worn like a second skin.
