The story flows on from Book Six of the First Series. At the end of Part Six, Gina was tattooed with a thrall registration number and given a new name - Rinah. She then met Sheik Salim Husni and his wives. They promised her that after two weeks training, she would transfer to Salim's estate and eventually become a concubine in his harem.

Rinah learns the dreadful truth after three weeks of intensive training. She suspects that their words were just a ploy to keep her quiet until she could be taken well away from Dubai and sold at auction, in a foreign land. She suspects that Salim Husni's wives are behind her rejection.

It is a bitter blow to Rinah, for she is a talented linguist who had so much to offer the right Master. Instead, during her stay on the Halabi estate, she performed every menial task under the blazing sun and many sexual duties as well.
