STORY DESCRIPTION

Crusading English author Amanda Foster has discovered evidence that the tiny European Dukedom of Barovia is practicing an incredible deception at its key border Checkpoint One, whereby pretty tourist women are lured into undergoing medieval ordeals of sex and sadism, known as "permezatenci", to please exclusive paying guests. Travelling to Barovia, Amanda confronts Captain Kubeck of the Barovian Border Police and threatens to expose him, his staff, the country's judiciary, and even the Duke himself, to the world.
