written, and convincingly draws the reader into the atmosphere and
life of a rural north country valley, the village of Mathomdale, and
its population, overlooked by and in awe of the vast and ancient
Mathom Hall with its mysterious owner Lady Mathom. Into this comes
Jennifer, daughter of a local vicar disgraced for beginning her
discovery of her sexuality, and it is initially through her eyes that
one gets involved in what turns out to be a protean Saga, which
although including servitude, submission, and on occasion corporal
punishment, expands to include not only great adventures of the many
leading characters but international military confrontations, and even
Sci-Fi elements involving extensive deep space searches related to an
enigmatic ‘Prophesy 1’. Having just finished Book 17 of the Saga,
I am on the edge of my seat impatiently awaiting the next episode 5
