The enormous social, political and economic problems that surfaced during their brief tenure made the election result a formality. The incoming New Government was elected in a landslide victory.
Determined not to allow the country to fall back into bad old habits, the New Government has declared war on what it believes to be the root cause of the problems caused by the WEP, militant feminism. The New Government is a deeply patriarchal organisation and is determined to restore men back to their rightful position as leaders of society.
As a result the they has moved quickly to influence many aspects of social life, the media, the police, the armed forces, the education system, the judiciary, even big business; have all succumbed to its message.
This book carries on from the first and some of the characters from that book, The New Government, appear in this as well. There are however, several new, professional, middle-class female characters introduced in this collection. Most of whom are thoroughly deserving of the humiliations and indignities that they will undergo.
It's not necessary to have read the first book in the series before you read this one, but it may enhance your enjoyment if you do so.
