Concept sounds interesting but the actual story was boring, just
descriptions of devices with hardly any sex. Emotions of characters
flat. Think would've been better told from 3rd person POV instead of
first person because the character narrating is too unappealing and
dull. 1 out of 5 (EXITR)
Simply outstanding! Original and memorable, unlike some others on
this site. It remains one of my favorites 5 out of 5 (explwr)
I really like the idea of the Scarab and the book is well written but
there is really minimal training of any king, very little sex and the
bondage is so-so. It did not deliver on the promise of the premise. 2
