EXTRACT

Taking Chances When Gabe met Elijah he thought he was just getting these cards read to find his future "true love". Elijah thought he was meeting just another client looking for answers where there aren't any. What they end up finding is all the ways you can fall in love with someone and all the chances you have to take. Excerpt Gabe turned back around fully and Elijah gestured towards the seat in front of him. "Sit down for a minute, okay? I think I owe you an apology." "It's fine," Gabe started but still sat down anyway. "It was no big deal what happened." "It was. I shouldn't have treated you like that. We should just start over, it's easier that way." Elijah smiled and extended his hand out. "I'm Elijah Warner." Gabe smiled, his face slightly blushing. Elijah had seen him blush before, during the reading, and he couldn't help but to find it sort of adorable. Gabe's skin was fair and the blush turned his cheeks a light pink and his neck slightly red. "Gabriel Moreau, but you can call me Gabe." There was a silence that filled out between them, not quite awkward but slightly bordering it. Elijah knew very well that Annabel had set him for this; there was no coincidence when it came to things like this. Annabel had only met Gabe for a few minutes but apparently had decided then that he was someone Elijah should know. He'd had enough time to think about things after the reading and was ready to just walk away from the whole situation, but now, now things were slightly different. Gabe really didn't do anything wrong, it wasn't as if he planned the reading, and he seemed nice enough, certainly he was pretty and if the way he was smiling at Elijah was any indication, certainly interested in him.
