Erin unlocked the door to her apartment, and felt the hair raise on the back of her neck.
Someone was in there. She knew it. Kicking open the door she pulled out the derringer, she
always carried, from the pocket of her black leather trench coat.
"Put your pee-shooter away, Erin."
Aww fuck, she knew that voice, Seth Copper. Her father's sleazy messenger. One of the men
she avoided at all costs. She didn't even want to know how he'd gotten into her apartment.
"What do you want Seth?" She slipped the gun back into her pocket, and walked into the
apartment, kicking the door shut behind her. Yanking off the coat she tossed it on the
pillows covering the floor, that severed as a couch.
