When Sarah awoke she had a hangover, and I would guess was still a little drunk from the
night before. Wherever it was it was dark and cold. She appeared to have slept on a stone
floor. But she could not remember how she got there. 

Sarah just lie on the stone floor for a while trying to stop her head from throbbing and
remember what had happened the night before. She could remember going drinking with
friends, remember meeting old schoolfriends after her other friends had left, and remember
going back to their place. But beyond that was a blur. She had no idea where she was or
how she had got there. The floor felt like stone, and on several occasions she had passed
out drunk in the street, so that could have happened again. It was too dark to see far,
there was a wall just behind her, and empty darkness in all other directions. She could be
inside or outside, but somehow it felt like inside. Looking up she could not see any
stars, but it could have just been a very cloudy night. Struggling she thought she could
see some kind of ceiling above herself, but she was not certain that her mind was not
playing tricks on her. 

You may think that the obvious thing would have been for Sarah to get up and look around,
but her throbbing head made remaining lying on the cold stone floor the more preferable
action. Also her sense of self preservation made her more inclined to lie there quietly
until she remembered how she had got there her. However it was not long before the
pressure on her bladder made moving imperative, the need to urinate became greater than
her need to keep her throbbing head still, or her desire to work out where she was before
she moved. So she stood up. 

Lying down she had been dimly aware that she was wearing a thick `choker` necklace that
did not remember putting on (or even remember owning), but she ignored this as a minor
concern. Standing up it felt heavy, and there was something heavier attached to it.
Looking down there was just enough light for her to see that it was a chain. Following the
chain, partly by feel, partly by what little light there was, she discovered, to her
horror, she was chained to the wall. 

Fear hit her like a steam train. She was a prisoner. Fear also made her need to urinate
worse, but she just sat on the floor with her back to the wall terrified.........

Jill pulled a hard backed chair into the room, and made Pam bend over it from behind the

looked like a school cane. Pam was both shocked and horrified because this obviously meant

them. Looking back, she thinks the quantity of alcohol she had consumed may have had
something to do with it.
