Can You See Me Now?
At the top floor, Charles went over to the secretary’s desk and announced, “Charles
Vanquil to see the president. I have an appointment. The secretary seemed to not be able
to see Charles, as she stared at Valerie’s indecency. Charles gave a loud, “Ahem.”
“Oh, sorry. Yes, I’ll let him know you’re here. If you’ll just have a seat.”
“Valerie, kneel at my feet. When we go in, crawl on your hands and knees. Make sure he
knows just what you are.”
“Yes Master. With pleasure.”
Valerie truly was proud of being Charles’ submissive and slave. That she was fired for
just that reason was all the more reason to flaunt it in this building. She wanted to let
the man who fired her know that she had no regrets.
Icebound
“It’s an anniversary.”
“Mike?”
“Yeah. He proposed today, all those years ago. I stopped celebrating them after he
died.”
Mike Burbon was Valerie’s husband. He had died five years ago in a car accident. That
was from another time in Valerie’s life, before she discovered her ability to enjoy sex
and fall in love with a woman. It was Sally’s total acceptance of Mike that had allowed
Valerie to remember those times with the joy as well as the pain they had always held for
her. The picture of him and Valerie, once packed away for so many years, had been a
prominent fixture in the living room of the house for the last six months.
“So this is the first time since he died that you’ve let yourself remember it?”
Tears filled her eyes as she answered. They were tears of sadness at the loss, yes, but
they were more. There was guilt as well. She had turned away from the memories of the
man she had loved with all her heart for so many years. “Yes. God, Sally, it hurts so
much.”
“I know it does, dear. It always will. But you can honor him by remembering. I can
honor him by listening and committing your memories to my heart. Come on, tell me about
it. I want to know every detail of the proposal, the wedding and honeymoon. Let me know
the man you loved.”
“You know we waited until we were married to have sex, right?” At Sally’s nod, Valerie
continued. “We were married almost exactly one year after we first met. It was late May
when we met and Francine and I were at Schweitzer ski resort thanks to a late season snow
fall.”
As Valerie continued to talk, time seemed to roll back and Sally felt like she was there,
watching.
Living Dreams
Darrin turned his back and started to undress. As Ginger reached to take her own costume
off, the clock in the other room beeped midnight. Ginger felt dizzy and a black cloud of
something oozed out of the costume. It spread to cover her whole body. Then it seemed to
seep into Ginger herself. When she had absorbed the entire cloud, small horns poked out
of her head and bat wings were part of her back. Her flawless skin seemed to glow from
the inside. When Darrin turned around, his clothes off, her cat-like pupils bored into
his soul.
Cold Love
Kumak started the conversation. “Have you had a chance to look over the curriculum and
records we sent you?”
“Yes, I have. It seems pretty straight forward, for the most part. I did have questions
about a couple of parts. I noticed that the school year is quite a bit longer than it
needs to be. Like most of the US, there are a required 180 days of instruction, yet there
are 225 days in the school year. What are the extra 45 days for?”
“Asked like a true resident of the lower 48. You can expect that many days lost to
weather. Snowfall won’t be the major issue, though we can get enough snow at times to
reach over the top of your door. It will be the cold. There will be days in the heart of
winter where the temperature will be so low that it is a health hazard to travel from one
building to another, especially if there is a stiff wind. You’ve heard that 30 below at
30 miles per hour will freeze exposed flesh in 30 seconds?” He continued when she nodded.
“40 below with a wind of 50 miles per hour can freeze protected flesh in short order. On
days like those, no one goes out for anything, if they can avoid it. We don’t always use
the entire 45 days allotted for weather, but we have gone over it a year or two in the
past.”
Janice’s jaw had dropped during his answer. “Do you mean to tell me that there will be
days when I can’t leave this apartment without risking death?”
