SYNOPSIS
Ani feels as though her relationship with Cat has hit a wall. Cat hasn’t wanted sex in over three months and rushed through it on the night she did. Over the years Ani attempted to make Cat hear her, but it seemed clear the only one to even see a problem with their relationship was Ani.
Nearing the end of her rope, Ani briefly entertains thoughts of suicide and then quickly pushes them aside as she tries to come up with other solutions. While working in the yard, Ani attempts to stop thinking completely when a young stranger appears behind her. Ani screams in surprise before the young lady introduces herself as Sam. Ani has serious naughty thoughts creep into her mind as the younger girl shows off some major muscles.
It doesn’t take long to see feelings are very mutual, but as Sam pins Ani against the refrigerator the older woman insists she is still in love with her partner of many years. Sam insists Ani force Cat to listen to what she has to say or she plans on returning to steal the older woman away.
Cat’s attitude when she walks in to find no dinner cooking only serves to ignite the fire in Ani as she at last explains her feelings. Eventually she breaks through the walls Cat has unconsciously built and at last the brunette experiences some of the same intensity she felt for Ani in college.
For days the older women get reacquainted as they discuss their life and have many love-making sessions.
Things seem to be going wonderfully until they need a carpenter and call Sam’s father for an estimate. Only then does Ani discover the man hasn’t seen his daughter in days and once the older woman discovers she went for a ride in a pickup that has been broken down for over a week, panic sets in. Together the anguished father and Ani put their heads together in an attempt to discover where the young lady might be.
Ani races off with the man, leaving a confused Cat to call for an ambulance before she races to the location Ani shouted out before jumping into the carpenter’s vehicle. Sam is found and mysteriously she has all the water bottles Ani offered on the three days she visited. Although none of them understand how it all happened, they are all thankful Sam is still alive.
While still attempting to work through the lost years, Cat and Ani open their home to Sam who instantly becomes the daughter they never had. With a lot of work and a little time, Ani may find the life she always hoped for.

Chapter 1
Ani reluctantly crawled out of bed to face another monotonous day after being
chastised by Cat for hitting snooze too many times. Heaven forbid the woman should get up
and shut off her own damned alarm. ‘No sense in putting off the inevitable’, Ani thought,
running fingers through her tousled hair.
Slowly, Ani made her way downstairs to the kitchen. Lately it had been getting so
hard to start each day and she could feel the depression beginning to engulf her,
attempting to drag her down into a deep dark abyss.
Despite Cat’s treatment of Ani in recent years, it hadn’t stopped her from wishing
they could work things out. Where to start though? For all Ani knew it was already too
late. The negative thoughts didn’t stop her heart from skipping a beat though as she
caught a glimpse of Cat dressing in the bathroom.
“Why don’t you come here and let me do that for you,” Ani suggested as Cat moved to
adjust her breasts.
“I think we know where that would lead,” Cat laughed.
“Not hardly,” Ani muttered under her breath.
“Did you say something?” Cat asked, poking her head out of the bathroom.
“I said you had better hurry,” Ani blushed and glanced at the clock.
“Uh huh,” Cat grunted.
Ani turned to reach for a container and pulled out some cash for Cat’s lunch.
“Why don’t you ever come home for lunch anymore?”
“Ani, we’ve already discussed this. My days are just too busy to get away.”
“I know, but for those of us here at slack-fest city…”
“Sweetie, I know you work hard here,” Cat stated, poking her head out from the
bathroom doorway.
“I do,” Ani stated defensively.
“I know you do, I just said it.”
“Maybe I could get a part-time job.”
“Do we have to get into that again? I like you here when I get home and I like to
know you’re here when I’m not. Why don’t you start that new garden you’ve been talking
about?”
“I suppose,” she replied, opening the fridge door for no reason in particular
before shutting it again.
Cat walked out of the bathroom looking gorgeous. Twenty-six years later and she
still made Ani’s heart skip a beat.
“Shit, I’m really gonna be late now,” Cat spouted as Ani rolled her eyes.
“You’re the boss, does it really matter?” Ani asked, but Cat wasn’t listening.
“Did you get me…?” Cat began as Ani pointed at the money on the table. “You’re a
gem. Gotta run. I love you,” Cat kissed the air as she left Ani staring after her.
“Being beautiful is only gonna work for so long!” Ani shouted as she heard the car
pull out of the driveway.
Ani stared at the magnetic vacation picture on the fridge. It had been taken 15
years earlier when she and Cat still seemed to fit their relationship. Cat looked pretty
much the same with long, wavy brunette hair, beautiful rusty-brown eyes and a figure to
die for. The woman still had the most amazingly firm breasts.
Moving into the bathroom, Ani stared at her own reflection in the mirror. Her
blonde hair was still shoulder length, her eyes a beautiful light blue and she still had a
pretty face, even if she did say so herself. She had a few lines around her eyes, but
nothing too severe. Her figure was still damn good for 45. Ani would even go so far to
say that her tits were firmer than Cat’s. After further examination, Ani decided that if
she was just some stranger on the street, she would want to have sex with herself and the
thought made her laugh as her mind drifted.
