I read this initially when it was in 1 volume and seemed to be waiting for an age for the sequel, I realise now that it was probably due to the rewrite , I hope the next instalment will be soon, can't wait (Amazon review)

As usual, a great book. I had been refreshing my search on "toggenburg" 3 times a day, and I stayed up all night reading this book the night it came out. I love the writing, being as much a travelogue as a romance. I love the characters and how Sarah is developing her life. I love the friendship that the characters show each other. I loved the trip to see Maria. All the background happenings in Sarah's family was fascinating and Jess' final laying down of the law was rewarding. The only thing I didn't like was that Sarah looked awfully dim when Danny was educating her about Saudi Arabia. Nicky's awakening was great, I loved how it unfolded. I can't wait for the next book. I've been amazed at the regular 4 to 6 week publishing schedule, and I hope the author can keep it up. Though Michael Anderle published a book a month for at least a year. I just worry that producing books as good as these, with a much going on in them will be hard to do on such a schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing Lizzie show up and I'm looking forward to Jess meeting Danny. And to when the press finds out. And to Sarah starting to show Lizzie around and them both going to school. One of the things I loved best is when the author explains the motives of a character. A good example is early on in a book when Sarah turns down a guy trying to pick her up. The author is careful to make sure that the reader understands that Sarah isn't being mean, but that she's proud of herself for being comfortable enough to tell someone she's gay. The author is very clear about the motivations and I enjoy how she does that. (Amazon review)
