Richard Alexander's second novel about the dungeon/bordello run by
Monica was written as a single novel (the first was five shorter
stories compiled together). When Monica and the gang make an
advertising video to run on then internet, they have no idea how much
trouble it will cause them. Before they can bind Shawnee for the
night, they find two of their crew duped and kidnapped by members of a
Hong Kong triad. What follows is the account of what happened to the
hapless pair (Jullien and Leila) and the attempts by Monica and the
others to find and rescue them. The story is solid, though his
signature style of changing the POV between the various characters
leaves one a bit disjointed. The biggest minus for me is how little
sex is in the story. Bondage and discipline are given the
overwhelming dominance in his stories. The vivid and elaborate
descriptions of such make this a worthwhile read. Especially
captivating is the psychological bondage Steven employs against one of
