One of the joys I have found in erotica is that sequals are usually as
good or better than original novels. It's too bad that Estaban
Bacca's Finding, the sequal to Seeking, is an exception to that rule.
Where Seeking seemed to have the purpose of the training to make the
slave a better slave for her Sir, the seeming purpose of the training
now seems to be to simply degradate the slave and causes her to
believe she is less than nothing. Her owner treats her with
increasing distance and callousness. The format of the book is such
that the same number of pages delivers far less book. The ending is
the worst, taking what could have been a beautiful love story and
making it a cheap exploitation book. Only the continuing look into
her emotions salvages this book from a one star rating. Skip this
book and hold onto the promise of the first.

Estaban Bacca's Seeking is a love story. A woman gives herself to her
Master and endures the training he wishes. She recounts her training
at the hands of a group of slave trainers. What is different than
other stories of this type is the depth of the slave's feelings we are
allowed to see. So committed to her status as a mere slave, she never
mentions her name at any point of the book. While many of the traiing
scenes are stabdard for the genre, they are described with a vividness
that is often missing. The only part of the book that is
disappointing is in the short scenes, between training sessions, with
her Sir. from these, it is clear that the love is a one way street.
All he cares about is humiliating her and getting great sex.
Still,her dedication is remarkable and worth reading about.
